8. The Olde Towne Tavern

Sounds dingy and yucky, right? You’ll be pleasantly surprised to come here, then. (Image courtesy of Breakfast with Nick)

Okay, I’ll be the first to say it--anytime I hear the word “tavern” I think of a dark cave populated by a few barflies, and I just want to steer clear. But the Olde Towne Tavern, located in a neighborhood revitalized by a community of young entrepreneurs, holds in it an air of rustic chic. And it’s menu has been said to be surprisingly engaging, which is not expected in a quick menu read-through.

Show your friends that taverns can be cool, and show up at the corner of Oak and 18th!
